There are umpteen ways to search on Ancestry.com, but here’s a quick method you can use to get straight to the database that you really want, but might not have known existed. It’s a way to use the Ancestry card catalog to it’s full advantage. Don’t know about the card catalog? Well follow these simple instructions:
Hover over “Search” on the menu bar and click on “Card Catalog” on the dropdown list.
Enter a locality in “Title” and click “Search”
Filter to the category you would like, such as Birth, Marriage, & Death. There are 13 databases in this category for Nevada…
You now have a handy list of all the Nevada Birth, Marriage, and Death databases at Ancestry and can easily go to the one you want.
