This week I will be presenting a class on Family Tree photos, stories and sources at the Monterey County Genealogy Society monthly meeting. Family Tree is your very own pedigree chart and family record at www.familysearch.org. I have posted about this feature previously, and every week discover new enhancements to it.
This week on FamilySearch I discovered online video tutorials for Family Tree that basically make me obsolete. I feel like I could just hit “play” for the crowd and sit back eating one of the delicious cookies Jim brings each month.
There’s a quick start tutorial for adding photos and stories, including a 20 page handout, and then a whole series of short lessons covering just about every aspect of Family Tree.
If you are in Monterey County Sept. 5th, stop by 1024 Noche Buena in Seaside at 7 p.m. If nobody shows up I will know you all read this blog and are happily working your way through the video tutorials. That’s okay by me…I will go out for a frozen yogurt and know you are in good hands.
You crack me up, Dayna!
